Owen Wright Mural

I was commissioned by Northern Beaches council to work on the Open Art Cube project (run by my good mate Pat) during the World Surf League Narrabeen Cup event alongside some good mates and talented artists.

The brief was handed to us by the council and that was to paint an Aussie surf legend, so I chose Olympian Owen Wright, added a Kookaburra on his shoulder and one of my surfing Koalas in the background.

I'm not used to doing portraits so this was a refreshing challenge and Owen and his family loved it!
